My Mum Sian Butler paints these delightful cottages. They are the essence of what she sees in Tasmania, but also influenced by cottages she has seen in England and Wales. Sian Butler paints many different scenes and in different media, from Australian Outback paintings to seascapes and African scenes.

I love the textures that my Mum Sian Butler creates in her paintings. This is one of her doorway or cottage series of acrylic paintings, but she also paints Australian Outback scenes and seascapes in pastels, and she is also a master of what I think is the most difficult medium, watercolour.
